If you have additional
questions after reading this brochure |
Do you want to see more of the world, live in another culture for a while and
make yourself useful at the same time? Read here how we can help you with all
this! Our program for volunteering
and internships offers you exceptional opportunities to live and work in Cusco,
Peru. It is possible to join the program from a minimum of 3 weeks, in this time
you can make a valuable contribution to the society. You will work together with
volunteers from all over the world and bridge the gap between them and the local
people.
Doing
volunteering offers you a special experience of living and
working in Peru. As a volunteer
you will meet people who are less lucky in life and you have the chance to give
them a helping hand.
Volunteering-Peru offers you unpaid volunteer work in
several social projects. Depending your interests or education you can
choose for one of our projects. There are for example projects with disabled
children or with children from poor families.
To enroll in our volunteer program,
it is necessary that you are at least 3 weeks available. It is important that
you speak the basics of the Spanish language to be able to communicate with the
local people. To achieve this and to help you to adapt to your new situation, it
is important that you take at least 40 hours (2 weeks of 20 hours) of
Spanish lessons before you start with the volunteering. Once you speak
enough Spanish to communicate with the people, you continue the program by doing
a volunteer job (at least 2 weeks).
Do you already speak Spanish, or you want to take more than 2 weeks of classes?
No problem! Together we will put together your personal program that meets all
your needs! During the whole period that you are in Cusco as a volunteer,
Volunteering-Peru will guide you
and help you with all your questions and problems. There is always someone
available to ask anything you need or to share your experiences.
Please remember that
Volunteering-Peru is a non-profit organization that does not receive
government funding or private donations. All fees paid by volunteers are used to
cover administrative and development costs, etc. We strive to keep these fees as
low as practical to enable more people to actively participate in volunteering.
